We are currently hiring for: Playologist

Playologist Position Details:

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. This position will have anywhere from 2-6 hours per week.

If you are 16 years or older and are looking for part-time work in a fun environment, aMuse’um could be the perfect fit! We are looking for someone who is energetic, ready to assist the Welcome Center, and excited to improve guest experiences.

Playologist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Welcome Center staff with reset, cleaning, and overall upkeep of the museum floor

  • Sanitizing “tasted toys” in the bins regularly throughout the shift

  • Serve as an assistance to Welcome Center staff, and serve as back-up when needed

  • Helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all museum guests.

Playologist Job Qualifications:

  • Proficient in:

    • Friendly and enjoys interacting with children and families

    • Comfortable leading or assisting with hands-on activities and engaging groups of children

    • Computer and phone skills 

    • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and actively engage on the museum floor throughout a shift

    • History of dependability

    • Able to meet deadlines on time

Work Environment:

Candidates should be comfortable working in a busy and a times loud environment.

Available Shifts:
Weekends (Fridays-Sundays) and Weekdays During Holiday Breaks
